I've been using an I-extruder since 2021 to assemble PCB batches, mostly as a pick and place tool. I'm impressed with how easily I can place different sized components and never go back to "tweezers mode" :)

Impressive PCB prototyping tool !

I'm using the I-Extruder for my PCB prototyping since 4 month and it has been a fantastic experiance. No more hasle during solder paste application and components placement for me! The precision and control are top-notch.

A must-have for PCB prototyping

I discovered the I-EXTRUDER in July 2022 and am very happy with it! It saves me a lot of time and money by streamlining my prototyping workflow.
It uses a quiet and precise linear stepper motor and is a huge improvement over the cheap Chinese compressor dispenser I used before.
The customer service is also fantastic.
Highly recommend this product!

Very well-built dispenser

Very impressed with the quality of this solder paste dispenser. The device feels very well-built and like it will last a long time. Very quiet and precise. I'm very happy with this purchase. Delivery by French post took a little too long.

Good purchase

Quality is the first thing I noticed. It took me about 7-10 minutes to play around with the settings and start using it to dispense solder paste. Pick & Place worked immediately, without the need for adjustments.

One of the most important tools on my bench

I've never owned an automatic solder paste dispenser and pick and place tool before. Just manually pushing the solder paste through the syringe (difficult and painful) and using tweezers to install the components (slow). Very impressed with how much faster, easier and cheaper it has become with the I-Extruder.
It is now one of the most important tools on my bench.

Works very well

I've ordered I-Extruder as soon as I saw a video on EEVblog channel and demonstration video on youtube.
Well, I must say it works very well not only for solder paste by also for glue and grease dispensing.

Silent, lightweight and incredible precise I-Extruder has completely fulfilled and surpassed our expectations. Pick and place pen and foot pedal are great addition to it.

Versatile and useful

Waited a long time to write this review so I could give an honest opinion.

I use mine mainly (thinking of getting a second one down the line for actual solder paste) to dispense amtech tacky flux, not solder paste.

It works amazingly well for that too. I can apply the flux with just the right amount where I need it. No more no less. Sure makes cleaning the PCB's I repair a heck of a lot easier.

More importantly it gets the most out of the Amtech flux I have which is sometimes a pain to get outside of the US.

A brilliant tool for the job!

This device is so much easier to configure and use than pneumatic dispensing systems. The dispense button is good but I recommend the foot pedal as it enables you to place multiple solder dots with higher precision.

i-Extruder is wonderful !

I backed the i-Extruder twice, once for the campaign that didn't make the goal, the second time for the one that DID make the goal. Since then, my i-Extruder has been sitting and waiting patiently for my projects to require it. That day was today.

I switched the type of flux I've been using (MG Chemicals liquid rosin flux) for Amtech NC-559-V2-TF Tacky Flux, recommended by Louis Rossmann in NYC, who uses it for board-level repairs on Apple motherboards. I love the stuff, but I got the big 30cc syringe, and it was just really unwieldy to use. So I pulled out the i-Extruder, filled a 10cc syringe and hooked everything up. It works perfectly, delivering just enough flux, then pulling back to keep more from oozing out. And since I do plan on getting into SMD components soon, it'll come in handy for solder paste application, too! (I have both hot air rework station AND a ReflowR programmable reflow plate, but haven't done enough SMD to really take advantage of them yet. But soon...)

This device is a real godsend, especially because I have difficulty with my hands due to a spinal injury. Squeezing the plunger on a syringe is possible, but painful, so this really helps me with my electronics work!

Thank you, and I hope you're having a lot of success! I just sang the praises of the i-Extruder to a worldwide mailing list of ham radio homebuilders and modders, so we'll see if they think so too and order some!

It fits my needs perfectly.

I "manufacture" small batches of PCB (10-50pcs) at home, and I-Extruder "Advanced pack" fits my needs perfectly.
My workflow is now more than 10 times faster than ever before !
Also, components placement with the supplied pick & place pen is unbelievable easy and fast.
Oh my! , it was so difficult to get some SMD components out of their tape/reel using a pair of tweezers.
I would not do PCB assembly without this tool, any more.
Man quickly gets used to good things :)

My only complain is Delivengo official tracking system. The updates are 1-2 days slower than on 17track.net

Definitely worth the investment

Completely surpassed our expectations

I-Extruder dispenser has completely surpassed our expectations. Since September 2017 we using it everyday in our production workflow and already have gotten back at least 50 times the value.

I was very impressed with I-Extruder and it's build quality and how good it feels in hand.

This solder paste dispenser and pick&place tool has everything you need for PCB prototyping. It allows you to dispense the solder paste and then pick and place your SMT components on board, and that with a high precision.
I got this for my lab, as I do lot of small PCB batches. Good solder stencils are quite expensive. With I-extruder I don't need stencils anymore !
It's easy to configure it and PCB assembly precess is very fast.

The most useful tool for soldering

I-Extruder is the most useful tool for soldering. It's confortable to hold in the hand and dispenses solder easily. The best features are the XYZ stand and the foot pedal which free your hands to hold the board and the components. I definitely recommend it for your hobby projects.

Very compact and we'll made

I have used other paste dispenser and suction tools, but this beats all of them in terms of compactness, ease of use and build quality. Very easy to set-up and become productive with it in a few minutes.

Best SMD tool on my bench.

The prospect of dabbing solder paste onto my boards with a toothpick was too much to bear, so I jumped at this Kickstarter.
Ten minutes playing with it and I was an old hand. Programming this thing is a breeze, and it feels solid in the hand with good ergonomics. I recommend the foot pedal. It allows you to lay down a really precise dab of paste right where you want it.
Solder paste placement is fast! You can do a small board in a few minutes with no mess at all. The pick and place lets you populate your board fast.
There is no downside with this product. It is quiet and feels good in the hand. There is no compressor noise since it uses a stepper motor for the drive.
This is the handiest SMD tool on my bench. If you are making your own boards then this is the must-have for your workplace, at home or on the job. Period.

Quality product.

I'm really happy with my I-Extruder... presently reworking my product assembly techniques to incorporate using this tool into the processes. It will save a boatload of time in the assembly of a couple of the pinball boards that I sell. Hats off to the team who created it - your dedication delivered a quality product!

Amazing Tool!

This is my new favorite tool in my workshop. SMD electronics are now as easy as traditional TH for me. Now I can take my electronics projects to much smaller cheaper places. I love it!

The best tool that I have ever owned.

The best tool for PCB assembly that I have ever owned.
Fully configurable with cool and user friendly menu and it is almost absolutely silent.
And it also work for SMD components placement in pick and place mode!!!
That is a really neat idea to combine two device into a single one.

I do PCB prototyping for living, and my previous pneumatic dispenser (Chinese) , with air compressor, was a real nightmare.

For those who are interested, I strongly recommend you the get "advanced" pack. Pick&Place pen and the foot switch are really good addition to I-Extruder.

I love things that are well made

I love things that are well made.
I-Extruder dispenser is very well engineered and the build quality is simply amazing.
it's a real time-saver for PCB prototyping. The plastic tapered tips that comes with it , are easy to use for solder paste dispensing. I've already used i-extruder for 0805 and 0603 components with perfect results.
Very good product, i highly recommend it !

I just received my I-Extruder pack with XYZ aluminum stand yesterday and I was very surprised, since I hadn't expected such a great quality of manufacturing !
